Its built-in hand guard immediately protects sensitive knuckles from the ice, whilst the clever dome shape makes it easy to scoop larger quantities without any skin contact at all. The scoop features handy drain holes near the base too, allowing only ice to be scooped.

The Guardian system adds further versatility, protecting the scoop from contamination when not in use. The Saf-T-Scoop & Guardian System is part of San Jamar's Safe Ice Handling System.
